This trail mountain crown fully Puecheral. It takes the old draille, Millennium way used by transhumant herds rising from the Bas Languedoc, Today hiking route (GR 68).
Be observed on this trail the border between shale and limestone, two fundamentally different environments of vegetation. Found there as well as the chestnut rumps bare neck of Issenges. We marvel at the beautiful limestone architecture firm Issenges as the authenticity of the hamlet Chadenet under his slate shale.
A la sortie de Florac, at a place called Le Pont du Tarn (1.5 km from city center), back to Holiday Village V.V.F. The trailhead is at the parking lot at the top of VVF.
Top Holiday Village, it takes the route of the GR 68-43 (Tarred the first 800m) which ascends through the chestnut following the ancient “draille” which led transhumant herds of sheep to high summer pastures.
Gradually it reaches the limestone area and the vegetation changes.
1 – On arrival at the Col d'Issenges we see on the left a beautiful farm with limestone architecture: the farm Issenges. A path on the left leads there (500m).
The view at this wears away and you can see the Mont-Lozère mountains and Bougès, “The roof of the Cevennes”.
It is at this point that we must leave the GR and turn right on a path that zigzagged down to the hamlet of Chadenet where we find vegetation associated with shale.
2 – In the village, Taking on the narrow path to the right (unmade) down to the bottom of the valley. We cross chestnut again to join, At the end, the descente, village Bédouès,
at the campsite Chantemerle (on your right).
We cross the campsite (passing in the middle). It runs along the right bank of the Tarn.
At the area called La Baume,
4 – allowed across the bridge that joins the road straight.
